Metronote Music ("we," "our," or "the app") is a music recording and editing app for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information (When You Sign In)

If you create an account or sign in, we use Firebase Authentication to manage your session. Depending on how you sign in, we may receive:

Email address
Display name (if provided during sign-up)
Authentication identifiers from Google Sign-In

We do not store your password on our own servers. Email/password authentication is handled by Firebase.

Content You Create in the App

Most of your creative work stays on your device, including:

Music projects (names, BPM, scale, tracks, effects settings)
Imported and recorded audio files
Custom effect presets
Exported song metadata

This data is stored locally on your device unless you explicitly export or share it.

Device Permissions

Microphone	To record audio for your projects
Files / Documents	To import audio files for editing
Media Library / Photo Library	To import audio files from your device

You can deny permissions, though related features may not function properly.

Technical Data

The app may use Firebase and Google services for authentication. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

We do not intentionally collect analytics events. Firebase Analytics libraries may exist in the app build, but analytics is disabled in our configuration.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

Authenticate and keep you signed in
Save and restore projects locally
Provide recording, editing, import, and export features
Respond to support or privacy requests

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Where Data Is Stored

We do not upload your music projects or recordings to our own servers.

4. Sharing With Third Parties

We share data only when necessary to operate the app:

Google / Firebase — Authentication and sign-in

We do not share your content with advertisers.

5. File Sharing and Export

When you export audio or enable file sharing, files may be accessible through the iOS Files app or other apps you choose.

6. Data Retention

On-device data remains until deleted or app uninstall
Firebase account data remains until account deletion

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

Sign out anytime
Revoke permissions in iOS Settings
Delete projects or uninstall the app
Request account deletion via email

8. Children's Privacy

Metronote Music is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Security

We use trusted providers like Firebase and Google for authentication. Local data protection depends on your device security (passcode, Face ID, etc.).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected on this page.
